More Information

A short time after performing a switchover, the following events may be recorded in the new Passive servers Windows Event Log.

These warnings are an artifact of the switching process and as such, do not indicate a problem with you server pair.

PASSIVE APPLICATION LOG:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchangeDSAccess
Event Category: Topology
EventI D: 2104
Description: "Process WINMGT.EXE. All the DS Servers in the domain are not
responding."

PASSIVE SYSTEM LOG:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: Browser
Event Category: None
Event ID: 8021
Description: "The browser was unable to retrieve a list of servers from the
browser master on the network . The data is the error code."

ACTIVE SYSTEM LOG:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: NNTPSVC
Event Category: None
Event ID: 101
Description: "The server was unable to add the virtual root '/' for the
directory '/Internet Newsgroups' due to the following error: The parameter is
incorrect. The data is the error code."

ACTIVE SYSTEM LOG:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: MrxSmb
Event Category: None
Event ID: 8003
Description: "The master browser has received a server announcement from the
computer that believes it is the master browser for the domain on
transport . The master browser is stopping or an election is being
forced."

There are various knowledge base articles supplied by Microsoft on steps that can be taken to reduce the occurrence of the Master Browser warning.
