This article describes how to manually remove services from the Start/Stop scripts if a protected application is removed from a Neverfail Heartbeat server pair.
If a protected application is removed from a Neverfail Heartbeat server pair the services should also be manually removed from the Neverfail Heartbeat start and stop scripts.
Note: Care should be taken when editing the Neverfail Heartbeat Start.bat and Stop.bat files. If you are unsure how to do this please contact Neverfail Support.
The following should be carried out on both the Primary and Secondary server to remove any uninstalled application services:
1. Browse to the Neverfail Heartbeat scripts location %installdir%\Neverfail\R2\Scripts\\
2. Create a folder in this location called "Backup" and copy the Start.bat and Stop.bat to this folder. These files will be needed to rollback changes should there be any problem after directly editing the script files.
3. From %installdir%\Neverfail\R2\Scripts\\ right click the Start.bat or Stop.bat script, select Edit and remove the lines that refer to the now uninstalled application as required. Every service started automatically by Neverfail Heartbeat in Start.bat is preceded by "NfNet Start". Every service stopped automatically by Neverfail Heartbeat in the Stop.bat is preceded by "NfNet Stop".
4. Any changes should then be saved overwriting the previous script files in %installdir%\Neverfail\R2\Scripts\\
