How to check the active(unsafe) and passive(safe) server queue status

Follow

Summary

This Knowledgebase article provides information about how to check the status of the active (unsafe) server queue and the passive (safe) server queue using the Neverfail Heartbeat Management Client.

More Information

Neverfail uses the active (unsafe) server queue to store application data that has not crossed the channel until it can be replicated to the passive (safe) server queue.  In the event of an application slowdown, you may need to check the status of your queues to diagnose possible issues.

Procedure

You can easily check the status of your queues in two ways:

You can use the Neverfail Heartbeat Management Client, which displays a summary of the data replication status, by selecting System -> Status and Control panel.

Additionally, you can view a detailed status of the active (unsafe) server queue and passive (safe) server queue by selecting Communication -> Status panel in the Management Client. The Communication Status panel indicates the connection status, data sent and received, the age of the oldest entry in the queue, and the size of the queues.
