Stop Code (or Bugcheck) 0xA (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) is caused by a Windows or a kernel-mode driver attempting to access paged memory (or invalid memory) at an Interrupt Request Level (IRQL) of DISPATCH_LEVEL or higher. This is potentially a known issue if the crash has the following footprint:

  • The system is Windows 2003
  • Neverfail Heartbeat V4.1 - V4.3.2 is installed
  • The registry DWORD value HKLM\Software\Neverfail\R2\HookRegistryDriver\UseNewApi is absent or has value 1.
