Neverfail for File Server detects that file encryption has been turned on for a file or folder, but doesn't appear to detect that it has been turned off

When encryption is turned ON for file or folder within the protected file set, Neverfail for File Server will immediately detect this change and mark the protected file set as 'Out of Synch'. If encryption is then turned OFF for that file or folder, the protected file system will NOT automatically become 'Synchronized' again. This is by design - the file system should be manually synchronized after encryption is turned off.

See KB 321 for more information on the handling of encrypted files and folders.
