Symptom

When entering the Hardware ID into the license field during Setup, Neverfail reports 'Invalid License'.

Cause

The Hardware ID is not the same as the license key, and should not be entered into the license field during install. The Hardware ID is a code generated from the hardware of your Primary server and is used to validate the unique license key that can be obtained from the Neverfail Extranet.

Resolution

To receive a Neverfail license Key, follow the steps below:

  1. Run Neverfail SCOPE to generate a CSV file of configuration data.
  2. Log on to the Neverfail Extranet.
  3. Select Licensing and then select then the relevant software license.
  4. Click on CREATE NEW KEY and upload the CSV file(s) containing SCOPE data as prompted.
