More Information

Symptom

The following are examples of errors that may appear in the Windows Application log after starting the Neverfail Heartbeat monitor service.

  1. Cannot find RPCRequests (0x80041010) in Windows Management Instrumentation
  2. Failed to obtain a value for attribute RPC Requests, Instance:
    Win32_PerfRawData_MSExchangeIS_MSExchangeIS=@ from Windows Management
    Instrumentation
  3. Unable to query attribute RPC Requests, Instance:
    Win32_PerfRawData_MSExchangeIS_MSExchangeIS=@ (0xFFFFFFFF). Ignoring this
    attribute until Neverfail Monitor Service is restarted or reconfigured. This
    error indicates that the attribute is not available from WMI. To verify the
    existence of this attribute, use perfmon /wmi. This error may indicate that an
    application or its management interface is not correctly installed. It could
    also indicate that the WMI service is not responding, in which case the WMI
    service and the Neverfail Monitor service should be restarted.
  4. Cannot find SendQueueSize (0x80041010) in Windows Management Instrumentation

    WMI. To verify the existence of this attribute, use perfmon /wmi. This error
    may indicate that an application or its management interface is not correctly
    installed. It could also indicate that the WMI service is not responding, in
