Summary

This Knowledgebase article provides information about WAN compression statistics terminology.

More Information

The following terms are used to describe WAN compression status and history on the current server.

Title

Description

Up time Time since WAN compression started displayed in ‘hh:mm’(<2 days)or ‘dd:hh’(>= 2days).
Volume of processed data

The volume of data processed since WAN compression started expressed by volume:

  • Mega Bytes for the interval 0 – 1024 MB of data
  • Giga Bytes when the value exceeds 1024 MB
Data throughput

The average throughput of uncompressed data since WAN compression started expressed by volume per second:

  • Kilo Bytes per second for the interval 0 – 1024 KB/s
  • Mega Bytes if the throughput exceeds 1024 KB/s
Compression factor The data compression factor since the WAN compression started.
Uncompressed data throughput

The throughput of current uncompressed data submitted to WAN compression expressed by volume per second:

  • Kilo Bytes per second for the interval 0 – 1024 KB/s
  • Mega Bytes if the throughput exceeds 1024 KB/s
Compression rate - current Compression factor of recent traffic.
