  12. When installation completes, click Finish . When prompted to restart the system, click Yes .
  13. After the system restarts, and if prompted to continue the installation of the Neverfail Packet Filter, click Continue Anyway (if not prompted continue to the next step).
  14. On the Secondary/passive server, repeat steps 6 to 13, in order to install the new Orion Failover Engine Service Pack.

Plug-ins Upgrade

Note: This is performed by uninstalling the old versions of SolarWinds Orion Failover Engine plug-ins and reinstalling the new ones.

  1. On the Primary/active server, launch the SolarWinds Orion Failover Manager.
  2. To uninstall the old plug-in, navigate to Applications > Plugins , and select the desired plug-in to be removed/uninstalled.
  3. Click on the Uninstall button in the Plugins pane.
  4. To install the new plug-in, navigate to Application > Plugins , then click on the Install button.
  5. Click the Browse button and navigate to the <FoE install dir>\R2\<version> plug-ins location.
  6. Select the *NFPlugin.dll file for the plug-in you need to upgrade, and then click OK to complete the installation (for example, SolarWindsOrionNFPlugin.dll for SolarWinds Orion plug-in or IISNFPlugin.dll for the IIS server plug-in).

Note: IIS Plug-in should be updated on machines which also have the web console (IIS) installed (for example, Main Pollers, EOC, NCM). If the web console is not present, only SolarWinds Orion Plug-in will need to be upgraded.
