Replication Stops When Creating a New SharePoint 2010 Web Application With Neverfail for SharePoint Installed

This Knowledgebase article provides information about replication stopping when creating a new SharePoint 2010 Web Application when Neverfail for SharePoint is installed and is running.

More Information

Neverfail stops replicating and the following error is logged:

"Error" Internal error in Apply component. The passive server has requested to restart replication due to an internal error in the Apply component. Error information: The Apply component in FileBackedTransactionStore.getTransaction() failed

If Neverfail Heartbeat is running when a Web Application is created, modified, or deleted on SharePoint 2010, replication may stop because Apply has failed to handle a file system transaction correctly and Neverfail Heartbeat was unable to restart replication.

Perform either of the steps below:

  • Manually restart replication after creating the SharePoint 2010 Web Application.
  • Stop Neverfail Heartbeat prior to creating a new SharePoint Web Application. Restart Neverfail Heartbeat after the new SharePoint Web Application has been created.

Applies To

Neverfail Heartbeat v6.5.2 and earlier
Neverfail for SharePoint v201.5.4
Microsoft SharePoint 2010

Related Information

This issue will be resolved in Neverfail Heartbeat v6.6
