How to manually create users, or import users from Active Directory

You can add users to each individual organization, either manually, or by importing users from an existing Active Directory.

Creating users manually

Follow the steps below to create user accounts from the Workspaces interface.

  1. Log in to your Neverfail Workspaces account.
  2. Go to Organizations.
  3. Select the organization that you want to add user accounts to.
  4. Click the Users tab.
  5. Click Create user.
  6. Fill in the desired user account details.
  7. Choose whether to send the user a welcome email.
  8. Click Save.

The user account will be activated by the user utilizing the link contained within the Welcome Email they will receive from the system. The email is good for 24 hours, however, if the user does not activate their account there are two methods to activate the account.

The first method is to resend the Welcome Email to the user. This is done in the following manner.

  1. Log in to your Neverfail Workspaces account.
  2. Go to Organizations.
  3. Select the organization that you want to activate a user account for.
  4. Click the Users tab.
  5. Click the user you want to reset the password for.
  6. Locate, and click, the Resend Welcome Email link on the lower left side of the page.
  7. The user will be sent a new Welcome Email from which they can activate their account.

 

The second method is to activate the user's account manually. To activate an account manually you will use the Reset Password function.

To manually reset a user's password follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Neverfail Workspaces account.
  2. Go to Organizations.
  3. Select the organization that you want to activate a user account for.
  4. Click the Users tab.
  5. Click the user you want to reset the password for.
  6. Locate, and click, the Reset Password link on the lower left side of the page.
  7. Fill in, and confirm, the desired new user account password.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Return to the user account list, locate the account, the account should now be shown as Active.

NOTE: If for some reason the user cannot receive the Welcome Email at the address listed in the account, then you should manually reset the password to activate the user account. This method is the least secure and should only be used when absolutely necessary.

Importing Active Directory users

Follow the steps below to import user accounts from an existing Active Directory.

  1. Log in to your Neverfail Workspaces account.
  2. Go to Organizations.
  3. Select the organization that you want to add user accounts to.
  4. Click the Users tab.
  5. Click Invite AD users.
  6. Select the AD users to add to the organization.
  7. Click Send invites.
