How to Check the Neverfail Continuity Engine Send and Receive Queues

Summary

This Knowledgebase article provides information about how to check the status of the active server's send queue and the passive server's receive queue using the Engine Management Service UI.

More Information

Neverfail Continuity Engine uses the send queue to store application data that has not crossed the channel until it can be replicated to the receive queue.  In the event of an application slowdown, you may need to check the status of your queues to diagnose possible issues.

Procedure

You can easily check the status of your queues in three ways:

You can use the Engine Management Service UI Data page, which displays the total queue size and the data sent.

EMS UI

Additionally, you can use the Neverfail Advanced Client, which displays a summary of the data replication status, by selecting Data: Traffic/Queues and then selecting the tab for the desired server.

System Status and Control

Finally, you can view a detailed status of the send queue and receive queues by selecting the desired Connection tab in the lower panel of the Data: Traffic/Queuespage. The panel indicates the IP addresses of the connections, the connection status, and the data sent and received.
