This article provides information on how to manage or patch Neverfail Continuity Engine clusters through Cloud Management Suite, using Passive Node Management feature.
An active logon account is needed for accessing Cloud Management Suite portal management solution.
Note: In the following sections we'll assume that Cloud Management Suite is enabled/configured in your organization.
Neverfail Continuity Engine servers should be able to access Cloud Management Suite in order to be managed remotely from there.
Thus, a Management Name and IP Address with access to Cloud Management Suite must be configured on each node, in order to be able to connect to Cloud Management Suite when both in active or passive role.
The Cloud Management Suite Agent should be deployed on the managed-to-be devices, i.e. Engine cluster nodes. Just go to "Tasks" → "Discovery" → "Create" and you will Create a task for discovery Devices.
Another way of doing this, is by pressing "New" → "Add device" and download the MicroAgent Installer.
After the installation, the managed nodes will be visible on the management portal> Devices -> Sites -> Your Site.
All the Engine Cluster nodes registered in Cloud Management Suite can be managed or patched no matter if they're active or passive.
