This Knowledgebase article offers information about the antivirus solutions having impact on Continuity Engine installation and which are the recommended mitigation actions.
Symptoms
Following symptoms may be observed during the Continuity Engine installation on servers having one of the below listed antivirus solutions installed and enabled:
- deployment actions are not performed successfully even though install validation is completed successfully (i.e. unpacking files action)
- SCOPE installation is prevented
- Engine plugins unpacking and installation is vetoed
- upgrade Engine fails because upgrade toosl are not successfully installed

Recommendations
Best practice: Configure the antivirus solution to ignore Continuity Engine installation (or upgrade) related processes. If this is not possible the only way is to disable antivirus protection during Continuity Engine installation (or upgrade) period.
