How to Check the Neverfail Channel Status in Neverfail Continuity Engine
   Summary

The Neverfail Channel is the key communications link between the servers in the group and allows for replication of updates from the active server to the passive server.  As such, the status of the channel is important and knowing how to check it will assist you in maintaining your Neverfail Engine system and troubleshooting potential problems.

   More Information

Checking the status of the Neverfail Channel should be a routine maintenance task and helps identify potential problems in the event of a failover.

    Procedure

For an overview of channel status, open the Neverfail Advanced Client, select the

    Server: Monitoring

tab. The graphic on the screen indicates whether the channel is connected between the servers in the group and provides an overview of pair status.
Additionally, you can view a detailed status of the channel by selecting the desired Connection tab in the lower panel of the

    Data: Traffic/Queues

page. The panel indicates the IP addresses of the connections, the connection status, and the data sent by each server in the group.
